  • Overview

    The Device Recovery Specialist (“DRS”) reports directly to the Product Manager, Device Recovery Operations and primary role will be to receive, sort, inventory and ship all devices sources by accounts, plants, Field Service Technicians and others TBD.  The DRS will primarily receive devices shipped into the Kenosha warehouse, identify those devices appropriately, input them into the necessary inventory tracking / management tool, store, and ship devices to identified purchasers.  The DRS will also be responsible for creating the return shipping kits (“RSK’s”) that are sent to the plants and used by the Device Recovery Technicians (“DRT’s”) to collect and send back to Kennesaw.  The DRS should be the primary contact of anyone at the plants who have questions about the types of devices to be collected and shipped into Kenosha.  The DRS will also be responsible for shipping product to purchases and insuring that the Standard Operating Procedures are followed and proper devices are shipped.  Other responsibilities include the day to day operations, safety and cleanliness of the Kenosha facility and device collections from accounts when necessary.  The DRS will work closely with Manager of the Kenosha Warehouse to insure materials and devices are managed, stored and shipped in accordance with Daniels SOP’s.

    Responsibilities

    Key responsibilities: 

     

    Procedural:     
    Daily operations of the Kenosha Device Recovery facility
    Receive, sort, inventory, store and ship all devices sourced in the field
    Quality check recovery both incoming and outgoing shipments and products
    Monitor equipment repairs and supplies and bring challenges to Supervisors attention
    Ensure stock control, inventory, and ordering of supplies for efficient operations
    Prepare RSK’s for shipment to plants
    Prepare shipments and necessary paperwork for all outgoing devices
    Following all SOP’s developed for the Kennesaw Device Recovery Business
    Ad hoc tasks as requested


    Reporting/Analysis:
    Daily updates on amount of containers processed
    Completion and scanning of all received and shipped containers
    Tracks all shipments and assist with documentation to Sturtevant
    Ad hoc reporting as required


    Compliance: 
    Follow all SOP’s written for the Kenosha Device Recovery business
    Wear all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) when required
    Follow all Blood Born Pathogen Training (BBP)
    Bring to Supervisors attention all safety concerns


    Personnel: 
    Assist with developing of device recovery personnel including but not limited to additional DRS associates.
    Reports requested time off directly to Supervisor
    Liaise between operations for smooth processing of devices collected and shipment to purchasers


    Safety: 
    All machinery, floor workplaces, and operating areas are free of clutter, debris, or other OSHA hazards
    Follow all PPE and BBP
    Insures safety procedures are followed by all device recovery personnel

    Qualifications

    Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

    ·         1-3 years of experience working with shipping / receiving and inventory management systems

    ·         Regulated Medical Waste, Laboratory Tech, or Surgical Tech experience  is a benefit but not required

    ·         High school diploma preferred

    ·         Ability to lift 40 lbs

    ·         Ability to be on your feet for up to 8 hours per day

    ·         Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

    ·         Basic knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
